Registration
There are a few forms that you are required to bring in when registering
your child. The
registration form and
registration fee will hold your child’s spot until your start date. On
your first day of attendance, we need you to return the completed
office
information form and
immunization record.
Within 30 days of your start date you need to return the
child
health report that has
been completed by your doctor.
For children under two
years, we also have an
infant intake form
that must be updated every two months to keep us apprised of your
infant’s schedule.
If your child is taking
prescription medication, an
authorization to administer medication form
must be filled out.
When your child needs
an immunization, please schedule the appointment for a Friday or a day
in which you will be home with your child on the following day. This
allows you the best opportunity to monitor your child should he/she have
a reaction to the shot.
4-Year Kindergarten
Children who are four years old no later than September qualify for our
4-year Kindergarten program. The hours are 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.,
Monday through Friday, with childcare available before and after the
program. This is an exceptional program created especially to prepare
your child for 5-year old Kindergarten. Certified teachers teach the
program, and class size is limited. Children previously enrolled in our
3-year old program will have first priority for registration.
After-School Child
Care
After-school childcare is available for children attending specific
elementary schools in the area. Also, care is available to these
children on their days off from school.
Breakfast/Lunch/Snacks
Infants must be provided with bottles filled with the prepared formula
or milk. All of the bottles and caps must be labeled with their name.
If your child arrives
before 7:45 a.m. breakfast may be sent with them.
When your child is
ready for table food, they will be provided with a nutritious hot lunch,
which is prepared at the center. Allergies or food restrictions need to
be told to the office as well as your child’s teacher so that a sign may
be posted in their classroom. Please do not send an alternative lunch
just because your child does not care for a particular menu item.
Children will often retry foods that their friends are eating.
All
lunches will meet
the meal requirements for the state of Wisconsin and will contain the
four food groups.
Milk and juice are
supplied by the center. Paper products and disposable utensils are also
available at the center.
Children will be
offered two snacks daily. One snack will be provided by the center, and
classmates will bring the other in. Toddlers should be provided
with extra finger foods available throughout the day. We ask parents to
let your older children help prepare and bring a monthly snack
from home. Please check with your child’s teacher for the number of
servings needed for the class or see your parent folder for an updated
snack schedule.
Your child’s contribution to the class gives him/her a very special
feeling. To help teach the children to be thankful, we say a prayer
before our snacks and lunch. The same prayer is used throughout the
school: “God is great, God is good, and we thank him for our food.
Amen”.
Naps
All children in full-time childcare must have a rest period. Children
will need a sleeping bag with their names printed in large letters on
the outside. Every Friday, sleeping bags will be hung on your
child’s hook to be sent home and washed and returned on your child’s
next scheduled day.
Illness
IIf your child becomes ill at the child care center (e.g., vomiting,
diarrhea, or fever), we will notify you to pick up your child. Children
are welcome at the center 24 hours after seeing a doctor or starting
antibiotics. Children must also be fever free for 24 hours. Since
center-operating expenses are continuous, there are no tuition
adjustments given due to illness. For a complete information on illness,
see our
illness
policy.
Tuition
Parents must contract for a specific number of days per week. Your
tuition
will be billed for the minimum days you have enrolled your child. Days
may be added based on availability. Since teacher/child ratios are
calculated a week in advance, tuition is due by 12:30 p.m. Friday for
the following week. Tuition is non-refundable.
One week of vacation
credit for each family is offered per school year. Please send your
vacation plans in writing to the office two weeks prior to your
scheduled days off. Vacation will only be credited if advance written
notice is given. Our calendar year is from September through August.
Unused vacation credit will be forfeited at the end of that period.
Vacation may be taken as individual days or as one week.
There are no credits
for illness.
There is an annual,
non-refundable registration fee.
We participate in the
Child Care Voucher Program. Please submit your vouchers directly to the
Voucher Corporation for employee reimbursement. Personal payment must
be made to the center on the Friday before the following week as usual.
Additional charges may be incurred for the special events and associated
fees.
Due to different
tuition rates as your child gets older, it is the parents responsibility
to let the office staff know one week in advance of your child’s
birthday. If the birthday is missed, no credit will be given for
incorrect tuition.
A two-week advance
written notice when terminating childcare services is required. This
notice must be given to the office staff. Families are responsible for
their regular tuition payment during that time whether your child is in
attendance or not.
Late Fees
A $5.00 late fee will be assessed for tuition received after 5:30 p.m.
the Friday the tuition is due. An additional $5.00 will be added for
each day the tuition is not paid. If tuition is two or more weeks past
due, your child will be removed from the program.
A $25.00 service fee
will be assessed for any checks returned by a bank.
A $5.00 late fee will
be assessed for any child picked up past our 5:30 p.m. closing time or
past the end of the scheduled morning session. The fee will be assessed
for each 15-minute period.
Center Closings
The center will close on all major holidays, including New Year’s
Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day
after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We will also close in a
snow emergency. The message will be available through WTMJ and WISN
radio stations, and TV12. Since center-operating expenses are
continuous, tuition will not be adjusted for holidays, illness, or snow
days (unless advance notice of vacation had been requested).
